4 Summer Skin Essentials

CaptureWhether you’re heading on a beach vacation, backpacking through Europe, gardening at home or relaxing poolside somewhere, summer is one of the best times to enjoy the great outdoors. Yet it’s also a time when our skin is at its most vulnerable due to increased exposure to the elements. If your skin care regimen isn’t up to par, now is the time to get these essentials into your program. Taking proper care of your skin will significantly boost the results of your daily facial exercises and help you staying looking your youthful best.

Protective Sunblock SPF 30. By now, I know you realize sunblock is a must for your skin care protocol. You need to protect your skin from dangerous UVA and UVB rays, which can cause sun spots, hyperpigmentation, wrinkles and heat rash. Apply my Protective Sunblock SPF 30 every day to your face, neck, hands and décolletage—it’s non-greasy and gives the skin a nice texture while protecting from the potential damage from the sun and being outdoors. Re-apply when necessary.

High Density C Serum. This powerful vitamin C serum protects the skin from free radical damage and the sun’s harsh summer rays, helps build collagen and boosts your skin’s glow. It also helps heal and provide relief to sunburned skin!

Face Lift to Go. Exfoliation is critical for having glowing summer skin—and Face Lift to Go’s exfoliating properties are unrivalled. This revolutionary mask tones, firms and lifts your skin while imparting that beautiful youthful glow. Try the Body Lift Mask for the same results for your entire body. These products will be your go-tos for looking your best at events, on vacations or whenever else you want to put your best face forward.

Nourishing E Oil
What is better than the luminous skin that you get from using Nourishing E Oil? This oil is perfect for so many things—it takes off makeup safely and effectively, hydrates parched skin after sun exposure, replenishes and locks in moisture after dry brushing and showering.

5 Ways to Eliminate Sunspots and Hyperpigmentation

FacerciseSummertime is in full swing—it’s a great time to relax, vacation, spend time with friends and family, and enjoy the great outdoors. Yet it’s also time of year when we do the most damage to our skin, resulting in everything from fine lines and wrinkles to sunspots and hyperpigmentation. When you spend so much time and effort on your skin care regimen and do your facial exercises daily, it just doesn’t make sense to let those dangerous UV rays wreak havoc on your precious skin.

Read on for five ways to protect against and eliminate those unsightly signs of sun damage.

1. Sunscreen. This should be a given. Apply it to your face, hands, chest and neck—and any other areas where you don’t want sun spots to appear. Re-apply if you’re spending any extended amount of time outside.

2. Lightening products. There is an array of products you can use to lighten and brighten sun spots and hyperpigmentation—my Brightening Cream is a best-seller because it’s effective yet gentle.

3. Retinol. Retinol effectively exfoliates the skin, which encourages cell turnover so that those dry, discolored skin cells that may appear as sun spots are replaced with fresh new ones. My Retinol Skin Conditioner also helps promote collagen and elastin production, thickens the dermis and helps combat free radical damage.

4. Cool down. When your body is overheated, melanin activity increases. After being outside or exercising in the heat, make sure to cool down the skin immediately with an ice pack or cool cloth.

5. Supplement your diet. Eat foods rich in lycopene and beta-carotene, which both help you protect your skin from sun damage from the inside out. Some excellent choices are tomatoes, grapefruit, watermelon, papaya, carrots, spinach, sweet potatoes, broccoli and squash. It’s also good to take supplements such as ester-C and vitamin E to help prevent and reduce sun damage.
