Following an anti-inflammatory diet is an excellent way to improve your overall health and combat the signs of aging. Anti-inflammatory diets have been shown to improve physical recovery time and reduce the risk of many chronic illnesses and diseases.     Loaded with fiber, vitamin e and some healthy fat, nuts are a great way to satiate your diet and reduce inflammation. Almonds, Brazil nuts, cashews and walnuts are all great choices.

    5. Whole grains

    Swap out white bread, pasta and rice for whole-grains that are fiber-rich. They will fill you up without spiking your blood sugar levels like “white” breads and other products.

    6. Peppers

    Bell peppers are the perfects example of colorful veggies that increase your antioxidant consumption and reduce inflammation.

    7. Berries

    Berries are loaded with vitamin C and antioxidants that can significantly decrease inflammation. The darker the berry, the higher the antioxidant content, but all are good choices.

In fact, some of my clients who do No Lipo Lipo body sculpting treatments lose weight during the Christmas and Hanukah seasons. If that’s the track you want to be on, use some of my holiday diet tips below.

    1. Be the host.

    One of the best ways to ensure there will be some healthy options on the menu is to host the big holiday meal or party yourself. Mix up the traditional dishes with some low carb recipes and toss up a big healthy salad to start with.

    2. Bring a dish.

    If you can’t be the host, then offer to bring a healthy dish. At least you know there will be one option that you can enjoy guilt-free.

    3. Don’t go to a holiday party on an empty stomach.

    If you arrive at a party hungry, you will probably overeat. Have a light but filling snack about a half an hour before you arrive so that you won’t lose control at the buffet table. Choose something with protein or fiber to rev your metabolism and keep your digestive system busy.

    Proper hydration flushes the toxins from your system, fills you up and helps your skin glow. Drink lots of water and tea throughout your day and at your holiday festivities. Add lemon or ginger for added health benefits.

    6. Avoid leftovers.
